Commis Chef
We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie to join our team at South Deep Restaurant. We love making delicious food using fresh produce from local suppliers and are proud to offer a fun and friendly environment at a waterside location with stunning views. Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)
Follow the guidance of the Head Chef or Sous Chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
Enforce strict health and hygiene standards, maintaining our 5-star Hygiene rating
Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
Managing and training any Commis Chefs
Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Requirements
Required Experience
Experience in a Chef de Partie role
Strong work ethic
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of best cooking practices
